General Information
Don't Go Soft - Play Hardball!
The Men's Senior Baseball League (MSBL)/Men's Adult Baseball League (MABL) is a national
organization with 325 local affiliates, 3,200 teams and 45,000 members who play organized
amateur baseball in local leagues, 25 regional tournaments and six national tournaments.
The MSBL/MABL World Series and Fall Classic take place every October/November in Arizona and
Florida, respectively, employing the finest fields offered. The MSBL/MABL Holiday Classic at
Disney takes place in Orlando every January and the Las Vegas Open is over Memorial Day.
Two new additions to the national tournament calendar for 2003 were the Las Vegas Kickoff
Classic (Early March) and the Cactus Classic in Phoenix, AZ (Late March). Our national
tournaments hosted a total of 490 teams in 2002 making them the largest amateur baseball
tournaments in the world.
The MSBL/MABL is an idea whose time has come. Just because a person is 18, 28, 38, 48 or over
doesn't mean he loves playing baseball any less.
Purpose:
The MSBL/MABL is committed to providing the player who is age 18 & over, 28 & over,
and 38 & over the opportunity to play real baseball at a competitive level on a regular
basis in a professionally-run environment. The MSBL/MABL World Series and Fall Classic
also offers 48+, 58+, 65+ and Father/Son Divisions. Membership in the MSBL/MABL often
opens doors to new friendships and business contacts that go beyond the white lines and beyond
the local community.
Profile:
The MSBL/MABL is the fastest-growing adult baseball organization in the country. Started in 1986
with 60 members, the MSBL/MABL is now 45,000 strong. Within a few short years, membership is
projected to exceed 50,000. Among the members are doctors, lawyers, local businessmen, former
professional athletes, and average working men. All are united by a common passion for playing
and enjoying baseball.
MSBL/MABL members are serious amateur athletes of various skill levels. They exhibit a special
commitment in their chosen sports, in their professions, and as contributors to the well-being
of their communities.
Aside from a few rule changes, the MSBL/MABL conforms to standard baseball rules, with major
league style or replica uniforms, carefully kept statistics and nine-inning games played once
a week, generally on Sundays.
Both the MSBL and the MABL plan to expand by establishing local units in communities where
programs do not exist, and also by welcoming existing amateur hardball leagues to affiliate.
